Back in 2018, Simon O'Carroll made his mark in the Queensland drag racing scene, competing in the Kenda Tires Radial Series at Willowbank Raceway. With his Holden Torana in the Gazzard Bros Limited 275 class, he showcased the perfect blend of horsepower and skill that defines his racing career.

Equipped with a massive 648 cubic inch big block Chevy motor purpose-built for nitrous, Simon's Torana had already achieved impressive 5.0-second times. But when the nitrous was engaged, there was no stopping the Torana from reaching even greater heights.

As the sport evolved, so did Simon's journey. Today, he races faster than ever, hitting 4.69 at 151 mph on the 1/8th mile with a 235 tyre and 7.0s on the 1/4 mile with a 275 tyre.

But racing on radials isn't for the faint of heart. Finding the balance between tire spin and traction is an art, especially without the aid of wheelie bars. Simon's team, including Craig Burns, Kon Michaladakis, Simon Kryger, and a dedicated crew of friends, ensures that every run is a highlight reel performance.
